Thursday, July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, 10:30 a.m. Storytime Adventures! Join Miss Liz on Thursday mornings. We’ll explore a new theme each week! Stay after storytime for playtime. Intended for preschoolers ages 3+ and their caregivers, but all are welcome. In the colder months and in unfavorable weather this event will be held indoors on the library’s 3rd floor, accessible by stairs or elevator. In the warmer months and in favorable weather, this event will be held outdoors at the Fishtown Recreation Center, directly across the street from the library.
Friday, July 10, 3 p.m. Kid Rave With Music by Ry! Move your feet at this outdoor dance party! Ry, a professional music teacher and DJ, will be spinning hits for the whole family featuring live instruments like trombone, trumpet, and flute. Shake Shack will provide free lemonade and a prize wheel to attendees! First come, first served. For youth of all ages. Families welcome!
Wednesday, August 5, 1 p.m. Animal Champions! With the Center for Aquatic Sciences. The Center for Aquatic Sciences at the Adventure Aquarium will join us with LIVE animals to teach us all about the amazing adaptations that help them thrive in a changing world! Come meet the animals and learn something new. For kids of all ages & their families.

Shissler Recreation Center. 1800 Blair St. The Fishtown Neighbors Association hosts monthly art club meetings for teen artists age 13 to 18 in and around Fishtown. Local artists Corey Danks and Sarah MacAnulty will lead an evening of artistic expression and making friends. Participants will be provided with sketchbooks and art supplies. Wednesday, July 1, 6 – 9 p.m. Uno Social Club. Kung Fu Necktie, 1248 N. Front Steet. Free admission (21+ only). Mattel will bring its UNO Social Club pop-up to Kung Fu Necktie in Fishtown on July 1, turning the venue into a gathering spot for fans of the classic card game. The free event will feature UNO gameplay, themed drinks, prizes and music from local DJs and MCs. Organizers also promise UNO-themed décor, photo opportunities and giveaways throughout the night. Entry is first come, first served and subject to venue capacity. Fans are encouraged to RSVP in advance, though registration does not guarantee entry.
