Fall in Medford is a season filled with tradition, community and the beauty of the changing landscape. In this issue of 08055 Medford, we’re taking a closer look at the places and events that bring this community together while celebrating the history and natural beauty that make Medford such a special place.

We begin at Kirby’s Mill, where Milling Days offer a glimpse into Medford’s past, bringing history to life through the sights and sounds of the historic mill in action (pg.5). We also take a trip down memory lane on page 14 and 15 with a look back at the Medford Historical Society’s Annual Apple Festival, held October 10. From familiar fall favorites to the traditions that have brought generations together, the festival is a wonderful reminder of the community spirit that makes this time of year so special.

And as we continue exploring Medford’s treasured open spaces, we visit Rancocas Conservancy’s Cowan Preserve, taking in the beauty of its natural surroundings and the peaceful escape these preserved lands offer. It’s another opportunity to appreciate the landscapes that make this community unique and the importance of protecting them for future generations.

As you enjoy the crisp air and colorful scenery of fall, we hope these stories inspire you to revisit a favorite local spot, discover somewhere new and make the most of everything Medford has to offer this season.

Happy fall and happy reading!
