PARKS & RECREATION 

3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting. Meetings are open to the public and  are held at Hammonton Town Hall, first floor council chambers, 100 Central Ave.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSION

Wednesday, June 10, July 8, August 12, 7 – 8 p.m. Environmental Commission Meeting. Town Hall, 100 Central Avenue. 

HAMMONTON FOOD DISTRIBUTION

First Thursday of the month at 11:00 am. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society, 1 Mt. Carmel Lane (carnival grounds), Hammonton, NJ 08037. Food is distributed until supplies last, rain or shine.

If you or someone you know is in need of food assistance, please register at https://smpl.is/7sji7 before you arrive. Present code to a volunteer when you attend. Food distribution takes place every 1st Thursday of the month. Volunteers are always needed.

IN THE COMMUNITY 

Saturday, June 13, 4 – 10 p.m. The 11th Annual Downtown Hammonton Food Truck Festival. The festival is expected to bring more than 15,000 visitors into Downtown Hammonton for an evening filled with over 40 food trucks, live music, shopping, entertainment, family activities, and more throughout the downtown district. It’s South Jersey’s largest food truck festival!

This year’s event will once again expand across multiple streets, creating the largest version of the festival to date. Visitors will be encouraged to explore Washington Street, Front Street, Central Avenue, South Second Street, Horton Street, and Lincoln Street while enjoying food, entertainment, and local businesses throughout Downtown Hammonton. Friday, June 26, July 24, and September 25, 5 – 8 p.m. Hammonton Community Market. Parking lot behind Casciano’s (212 Bellevue) on Second and Vine. The monthly summer  community market features vendors with handmade, homemade, eco-friendly crafts and wares and provides an important opportunity to showcase local small farmers who grow with organic, sustainable or regenerative practices. It is a curated outdoor event created to bring the community together in celebration of sustainable practices, and to advocate healthy living choices. In addition to our amazing vendors, we are planning another season of excellent live music, family/kids crafts, free seeds from the mobile Hammonton Seed Library, and more!

We are seeking vendors. Setup for vendors is at 4 p.m. on the fourth Friday of the month. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, you can apply via the link on our webpage: Hammontongreencommittee.com. For questions, please email hammontongreenevents@gmail.com.

Sunday, June 28, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m 40th Annual Red, White & Blueberry Festival, Hammonton High School, 566 Old Forks Rd. This year will be extra special as we celebrate our Festival’s 40th Anniversary AND the 250th Birthday of the United States of America. Includes: Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast (8 a.m. to noon), Cruisin’ Classics Car Show, Live Music, DJ, Kids Funzone, Blueberry Pie Eating Contest, Arts and Crafts, Food Vendors. Sunday, June 28, 9 a.m – 2 p.m. Cruisin’ Classics Auto Club Presents the 40th Annual Red, White & Blueberry Car Show. Hammonton High School, Old Forks Road & Route 30. Blueberries, food, 20 gift cards to the top 20 vehicles. Award ceremony at 1 p.m. Open to all years, makes, and models. Registration: 9 – 11 a.m. Pre-registeration by June 15: $15. After June 15 and day of the show: $20. Checks payable to: Cruisin’ Classics Auto Club, Inc. 293 Chestnut Street, Hammonton, NJ 08037. 

Wednesday, July 29, 6 – 8 p.m. Fire & Ice: A Hammonton Fire Department Fundraiser. Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard, 10 N. White Horse Pike. The Hammonton Fire Department, Hammonton Drug Alliance, and Rita’s of Hammonton will be hosting an event to connect the community with their local volunteer fire department. There will be giveaways from the fire department and drug alliance. Rita’s is donating 25% of all sales during the event to the Hammonton Fire Department. The funds raised will help keep our firefighters hydrated during the HOT summer months.

Friday, August 7, 6 – 9 p.m. National Night Out. Hammonton High School. Fireworks at dusk. Food vendors and community services interested in participating in the 13th Annual National Night Out can email pdonio@atlanticare.org or call 609-567-2900 ext. 103 by July 17th.
