Publisher’s Note

There’s something about fall in Pitman that brings people together—and in this issue of 08071 Pitman, we’re celebrating a community with a rich musical history and a very talented next generation.

On our cover, meet the Pitman Prowlers, a junior high student cover band and co-curricular music group at Pitman Jr./Sr. High School. Their enthusiasm and love of performing are a wonderful reminder that Pitman’s musical spirit continues to grow with each generation.

We’re also taking a look at the Original Hobo Band, celebrating the history and legacy of a group that holds a special place in Pitman’s musical story.

Together, these features highlight two sides of what makes this community so special: honoring the traditions that came before us while giving the next generation a stage of its own.

We hope you enjoy this issue and take a little time to celebrate the people, stories and traditions that make Pitman such a wonderful place to call home.

Happy fall and happy reading!
