25 Kitchen Design Ideas Moorestown Homeowners Are Loving Right Now

Date:

If your kitchen is overdue for a refresh, you’re in good company. According to the 2026 U.S. Houzz Kitchen Trends Study, more than half of renovating homeowners (52%) are changing their kitchen layout, and nearly half (47%) are adding pantry cabinets.

Closer to home, Cipriani’s design team, which has completed kitchen remodels right here in Moorestown and in neighboring Medford, Cherry Hill and Mount Laurel, is seeing a clear shift: warmer finishes for cabinets and fixtures, more personality with countertop and backsplash selections, smarter storage, and thoughtful details that feel collected rather than cookie-cutter. Here are a few of the ideas shaping South Jersey kitchens this year.

Warmth Is Back

After a decade of all-white kitchens, wood is making a strong return. White oak, walnut and medium-toned cabinetry bring natural character, and Houzz finds wood cabinets (29%) now edge out white (28%). Why commit to just one color? A two-toned kitchen, with painted perimeter cabinets and a wood island, offers the best of both. For a bolder move, a deep blue or green island adds personality without taking over the room.

Surfaces That Make a Statement

Countertops are becoming a focal point. Dramatic quartzite and boldly veined stone bring natural movement, and carrying that slab up the wall as a full-height backsplash creates a seamless, high-end look. Handmade or textured tile fluted or reeded panels on islands and hoods, and statement wallpaper in a coffee bar or breakfast nook all add depth and personality.

Details That Shape the Room

Lighting matters more than ever. Natural light (95%) and statement lighting (87%) rank among the top priorities in the NKBA 2026 Kitchen Trends Report. Statement pendants anchor the island, layered with under-cabinet lights, sconces and recessed fixtures. Elevate your lighting plan with controls for zones and dimmers. Architectural touches such as arched openings, sculptural range hoods, ceiling beams and wainscoting give a kitchen a custom, timeless character.

Beautiful Kitchens That Work Hard

The best kitchens support how you actually live. Houzz reports that 76% of homeowners include built-in features like pantry storage, coffee stations, and appliance garages. Pantry pullouts, hidden appliances and an oversized island for gathering keep daily life organized. Aging-forward details, including brighter and focused lighting, easy-grip hardware and accessible pullouts, help a kitchen serve you for decades without looking clinical.

Start With a Vision Board

Inspiration becomes useful when it’s organized. Save examples in five categories: statement lighting, architectural details, wallpaper and wall treatments, tile and stone, and warmth and character. Bringing those references to your first design conversation helps a designer quickly understand what you love. Our talented designers will then translate your ideas into a layout, selections, and construction plan that fits your home.
