As summer winds down, we’re excited to bring you another issue of 08033 Haddonfield — one that explores the people, places and history that continue to shape our community.
On our cover, architect and designer Benita Cooper of Benita Cooper Design gives us an inside look at her award-winning practice, known for transformative residential and institutional projects. Benita brings a thoughtful, personal approach to design, creating inviting spaces that reflect the people who live and work in them.
We also introduce you to Soffiato Via, a homegrown salon whose story began with Caroline Dodig at just 22 and has grown into a business rooted in relationships and community.
Our pages also take a step back in time, with a look at the historic Benjamin Cooper House, now home to the American Revolution Museum of Southern New Jersey, and continue our Sculpted Stories series with The Mailman, a remarkable 7-foot sculpture at the Haddonfield Post Office honoring the familiar faces who have delivered our mail for generations.
Together, these stories offer a glimpse at the many layers of Haddonfield — from its history and public art to the talented people and local businesses helping shape its future.
We hope you enjoy this issue and, as always, find something that makes you appreciate Haddonfield a little more.
Happy reading!
