As fall settles into Moorestown, the changing leaves and cooler days offer the perfect opportunity to appreciate the history, people and natural spaces that make this community so special. In this issue of 08057 Moorestown, we’re celebrating the stories that connect us to our past, inspire us in the present and help shape our future.
We take a step back in time with a look at the historic Stokes Mansion, exploring a piece of Moorestown’s history and the stories held within its walls (pg. 5). We also shine a light on Caisse Gore, a local Moorestown English teacher whose commitment to helping others extends far beyond the classroom. Through the Jadon Strong Foundation, founded in memory of her son, Caisse is carrying his legacy forward by providing hope, comfort and support to families facing pediatric brain cancer. Her story is a powerful reminder of how love can become a lasting source of strength for others (pg. 10).
And as we continue to celebrate the places that make Moorestown unique, on page 14 we explore Pompeston Park, another treasured open space that highlights the importance of preserving our natural surroundings for generations to come.
From historic landmarks and inspiring community members to the green spaces we’re fortunate to enjoy, this issue is a reminder that Moorestown’s character is found in so much more than its streets and homes. It lives in our shared history, the people who give back and the places that bring us together.
As you enjoy the beauty of the season, we hope these stories inspire you to learn something new about Moorestown, explore a familiar place with fresh eyes and appreciate all that makes the community feel like home.
Happy fall and happy reading!
