Saturday, September 19, 10:30 a.m. Canticuentos: Spanish Storytime with Ana. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by joining local storyteller Ana Atach for Canticuentos. Families will explore songs and stories in Spanish through movement, dancing, and singing. Each highly interactive session introduces children to a word of the day, an animal, and a color.
Saturday, September 26, 10 a.m. Fishtown Library Book Club. Book club will meet to discuss Álvaro Enrigue’s You Dreamed of Empires. Copies will be available to checkout at the adult/teen reference desk.
Monday, September 28, 5 p.m. Land & Body: Rhythm, Roots, & Storytelling with Power Street Theatre. A free, bilingual adult artistic course rooted in community, creativity, and the power of your story. Inspired by Power Street Theatre’s mission of community storytelling, this workshop celebrates culture, creativity, connection and comunidad.
Friday, October 9, 10:30 a.m. Dance Together: Creative Movement Class. This monthly series incorporates music, imagination, ballet vocabulary, and movement to introduce participants to the structure of dance class. This free program is recommended for children ages 2-4.

Wednesday, October 7, 7:30 p.m. Teen Art Club. The Fishtown Neighbors Association hosts monthly art club meetings at Shissler Recreation Center for teen artists age 13 to 18 in and around Fishtown. Local artists Corey Danks and Sarah MacAnulty will lead an evening of artistic expression and making friends. Participants will be provided with sketchbooks and art supplies.
