When Restaurant Week in downtown Hammonton comes around, it will be the weekend after the Valentine’s Day rush.
And “it’s perfect time,” says Joanna Garcia, who is part of MainStreet Hammonton’s Promotions Committee, to essentially get out of the cold, try all the food with the “amazing specials and promotions” offered from participating restaurants.
Garcia’s family has been part of the town for 28 years running the Tacos Al Carbon food truck.
“For us, having [Restaurant Week] is important especially when January and February are generally slow for us and our downtown restaurants,” she said.
MainStreet Hammonton is hosting its second Restaurant Week from Feb. 17 to 22 in 2026.
“We are excited,” Garcia enthused. “There will be a lot of new eateries joining and the new bakery opening up.”
Guests will be able to explore the likes of street style tacos, cafés to upscale wine establishments and dessert spots highlighting the different cultures of the area.
“Italian, Mexican, Peruvian … ,” Garcia said – you name it -noting the melting pot of people, food and culture that Downtown Hammonton has to offer.
“Restaurant Week was a big hit last year. Everyone loved it. Our restaurants saw new faces since then and we are excited to share with even more new faces.”
As the Restaurant Week’s list is finalized, an updated list of participating restaurants with offers will be posted on MainStreet Hammonton’s website and social media pages.
History about MainStreet Hammonton
In 1984, the Greater Hammonton Chamber of Commerce established a sub-committee called the Hammonton Revitalization Corporation (HRC), a 501 C non-profit organization, to address the dilapidated conditions of Downtown Hammonton. The HRC, along with town leaders, applied to become a Main Street program in 1992. On June 3, 1993, Hammonton officially became a Main Street New Jersey program.
