Hello 08071! I cannot believe the holiday season is here. It’s like we snapped our fingers and WHAM! But I have to say, I just love this time of year! All the festivities, the family time, the food, and the warm holiday spirit make me smile. And as always, we are excited for you to check out our Holiday edition magazine dedicated to the lifestyle and community of Pitman.

We start our issue with the writer Richard Eldredge. He’s a fourth-generation Pitmanite, who chronicles the Broadway Theatre’s 100-year story in a new book, “Pitman’s Broadway Theatre at 100: The Story of a Beloved Landmark and the Town That Saved It.” In 2023, he stepped inside the theater for the first time in 35 years and, he admits, “it was emotional.” Deeply researched and featuring over 40 interviews, learn more about his book and this iconic building on page 5.

In the middle we have your Gift Guide – “Your One-Stop for All Things Gift-Giving.” Whether you’re gift hunting for a close friend or an extended relative, Pitman has everything you need for a gift for everyone on your list. Shop in Pitman on page 11.

Next we visit hometown business, Peter Lumber Company, a multi-generational building supplier that continues to serve Pitman. It provides residents with a place to shop for building supplies, such as lumber, doors, and cabinets, while boosting the town’s economy. Beyond customers, the business also supports the community. Find out more on page 18.

Included in our Holiday edition is a look at Frostland Village on page 16. The elaborate and festive light display at 23 Euclid Avenue in Pitman was previously named the best Christmas-themed outdoor home decoration in America.

Also thumb through Planning in Pitman for future community events on page 22 and take a look at a Cranbury Apple Sangria cocktail recipe for the holidays on page 3.

All of this and more awaits on the pages ahead!

Enjoy!
