Hello 08840! Fall season is here and I am ready! I love the colors of fall and the cooler air. Oh and who is ready for everything pumpkin – picking, spice latte, pie?! We are excited for you to check out our Fall edition magazine dedicated to the lifestyle and com- munity of Metuchen.

We start our issue at the Metuchen Inn – a historic borough land- mark dating back to 1843. It has become a popular food destination for its exquisite cuisine, warm and inviting ambiance, and impeccable service and attention to detail. The hard work of owners Victor Schipa and Constantine Papanicolaou has earned them the prestigious honor of “Diner’s Choice Award 2025” by OpenTable Diners’ Choice program. Follow the aroma page 5.

Next we head to the Metuchen Farmers Market that runs from mid-June to Novem- ber on Saturdays on the Town Plaza. “We understand that the market is a third space for people,” said Nelson Li, who has served as the market’s volunteer manager since 2011. “People come here and shop, bring friends, run into friends. It’s a nice friendly place to come and relax and have a conver- sation.” Meet at the market on page 9.

Mid-way we meet Janibell Rodriguez, the force behind Kitchens, Bath & Beyond in downtown Metuchen. Her business has be- come a local design gem, known for trans- forming ordinary spaces into timeless, func- tional works of art. She shares her journey from the Fashion Institute of Technology to launching her vision on page 12.

The love of their white Bishon Frisé, Cos- mo, led Satish Bapatla and his wife Sunetha to open their own Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming franchise on Oct. 15, 2024. They are getting ready to celebrate their one-year anniversary with the community they have grown to love. Woof Gang is your neigh- borhood pet store, offering a one-stop desti- nation for your pet’s needs. Come celebrate on page 16.

We round our Fall edition with Julia Vir- ginia Win’s tribute to ice cream, memory and Metuchen with her most recent piece called preSERVE. It’s the latest public art- work by Win, a Metuchen-based artist and teacher, and it is rooted deeply in the borough’s history. Metuchen Downtown Alliance and Pearl Street Business Center owner Peter Klein invited Win to create a “picture-worthy moment” outside 16 Pearl St. in 2023. Have you seen it? Page 4.

Don’t forget to check out Metuchen on the Move on page 22 for future community events. All of this and more awaits on the pages ahead!

Enjoy!
