Hello 08057! We are excited for you to check out our Fall edition magazine dedicated to the lifestyle and community of Moorestown. Quarterly, we bring the stories from within the community.

We start our issue with Superintendent Dr. Courtney McNeely, who has been in her role for almost a year leading the Moorestown schools. She wants to create a culture that supports progress and builds on tradition. She has seen how the district’s students continue to thrive, and her vision is to continue and honor the great things that are already occurring. Follow her vision on page 7.

Next we meet Artist and Moorestown High alum Wasiu Ojuolape Jr. He considers himself a jack of all trades, a creator who sees the art in everything around him. “If you sometimes step back, you kind of realize that you’re already doing what you want to do or what your dream is,” the 29-year-old said. The inspiration for his art began as a young man when he saw his mom’s sketch drawings. Leaving his mark on page 14.

We ‘leap out of a textbook’ next. There are 19 “witnesses” to the Revolutionary War in Moorestown – houses that speak volumes about the era. “Witness houses” stood during the war and still do, evoking the history of a young America’s fight for independence, according to Julie Maravich, founder and president of Saving Historic Moorestown. A tour of the structures will take place later this month. Witness for yourself on page 18.

We round out our issue at Boundary Creek Natural Resource Area Park – a haven along the Rancocas. Once on site at the 34-acre park, visitors are offered a myriad of opportunities for bird watching, wildlife viewing and much, much more. Come relax in nature on page 24.

Check out our Expert Contributor pieces: “Good Design Is More Than Just Good Looks” on page 12 and “Falling Into The Market: Smart Real Estate Moves This Autumn in Moorestown” on page 30. Thumb through Moorestown on the Scene for future community events on page 34 and find out what our neighbors have to say – “Where is Your Go-To Local Spot in Moorestown?” on page 2. All of this and more awaits on the pages ahead!

Enjoy!
