Lower Moreland High School won the PIAA Class 2A boys tennis championship in May.

Lower Moreland qualified for states by winning the District One tournament, blanking both Pope John Paul II and Bishop Shanahan, 5-0.

At states, at the Hershey Racquet Club, the Lions edged Devon Prep, 3-2; shut out Valley, 3-0; defeated Wyomissing, 3-1; and captured the championship with a 3-0 win over Conrad Weiser.

The Lions finished the season 17-2. ••
