October brings a different energy to Fishtown—the leaves begin to change, the days get a little shorter and the neighborhood seems to come alive in a whole new way. In this issue of The Hook, we’re celebrating the art, food and creativity that make Fishtown such a vibrant place to explore this time of year.

In our latest The Art Seen feature, we take a closer look at artist Miriam Singer’s “Berks Street Map” mural, a colorful work that captures the character, history and energy of the neighborhood (pg. 4). We also head to LMNO for a closer look at the food, atmosphere and people behind one of Fishtown’s local dining destinations (pg. 8).

And as the season shifts, we’re also celebrating the creative spirit of Music Theatre Philly and the work they’re doing to bring music, theater and performance to the community (pg. 13).

Whether you’re heading out for a fall meal, taking in some public art or finding your next creative inspiration, there’s plenty to discover around the neighborhood this October.

We hope this issue gives you a few new reasons to get out, explore Fishtown and enjoy everything the season has to offer.

Happy fall & happy reading!
