Hello 08057! We are excited for you to check out our Holiday edition magazine dedicated to the lifestyle and community of Moorestown. Quarterly, we bring the stories from within the community.
We start our issue with Abe Speller. Just wow, he’s had a 40-plus career as a jazz musician that has taken him around the world. He’s worked with the likes of jazz guitarist Sonny Sharrock and played with musician Pat Benatar. Nowadays, Speller is still at it with a full plate not only with the Abe Speller Jazz Trio, which formed in 2005, but with many collaborations. Follow the jazz on page 5.
Next we visit Alloy Personal Training. “Alloy fills that gap,” owner Sagar Dalal offered. “We combine individualized programming with expert coaching in a small group setting, so every member gets the feel of one-on-one training but with the energy and motivation of a community around them.” Get fit on page 13.
Midway we meet Jiya Cooper, a junior at Moorestown High School. At 11, she founded KeepItSimple Jewelry focused on handmade designs. Over the past year, she launched a nonprofit extension called Glass2Art, the philanthropic arm of her business. Through her blog and Glass2Art, Cooper is on a mission to create and explore meaningful and thought-provoking pieces that celebrate the beauty of the planet. Follow her mission on page 16.
We round out our issue at Stokes Hill. It has been the sledding spot for decades. A sign posted by the Moorestown Parks and Recreation even states, “Please have FUN.” The favorite pastime was almost lost to development in 1991, but fierce public outcry prompted local artist Carol Mastran to begin a fundraising campaign to “Save Stokes Hill.” Come sledding on page 39.
Check out our Expert Contributor pieces: “Preparing for the 2026 Market” on page 10 and “Remodeling Redefined: Inside the Design-Build Difference” on page 34.
Don’t forget to check out our Holiday guide for all your Moorestown holiday needs on page 20. Thumb through Moorestown on the Scene for future community events on page 42 and find out what our neighbors have to say – “What’s your favorite holiday tradition?” on page 2. All of this and more awaits on the pages ahead!
Enjoy!
